Lifting the
Spirit: Human Rights and Freedom of Religion or Belief is
intended to further an understanding of human rights in general,
especially the human right to freedom of religion or belief.
This curriculum is not a survey of world religions, although
it might compliment such a course; instead it relates worship,
observances, practices and teachings of all religions and beliefs
to fundamental human rights principles. Designed for use in secondary
school classrooms, religious institutions and youth advocacy
organizations around the world, both content and organization
aims to be adaptable to many different national and cultural
settings.
